![]() Inheriting his love for rhythm from his parents, who were both accomplished musicians in their own right, Andrew fostered an unwavering passion for the art. From his early years, it became apparent that Andrew’s destiny was intertwined with music, as he hails from a family deeply rooted in the symphony of melodies. Andrew Acosta, a renowned multi-percussionist, was born and raised in the vibrant city of Chicago, Illinois. In 2019, she choreographed a dance for Colin Hay and San Miguel Perez’s hit music video "Un Poquito De Amor Everyday." Kati’s work is a true illustration of her heritage and an endless celebration of Cuban culture. Bringing her artistry to venues such as The Getty and Skirball Cultural Center. She has also performed and taught Workshops at the Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA), Grand Park, and Metro Art L.A. She is praised for her Afro-Cuban Jam sessions at Ford Theatres. As a facilitator and producer, she hosted the Essence of Cuba, a paramount reunion of Afro-Cuban masters in L.A that included members of Los Muñequitos de Matanzas and legendary Maestro Lázaro Galarraga. ![]() It combines the magic and flavor of Cuban Rumba, Oricha dances and the graceful dance and sound of traditional Cuban Songs, along with the funky sound of Timba and groovy Cuban Salsa. Her nationally acclaimed signature program, Orisha Dance Therapy, is a language of expression through movements and rhythms of the rich Afro-Cuban Dance diaspora. Hernández is the founder of a pioneering online dance and music program that preserves and promotes Cuban culture worldwide to create vibrant cross-cultural communities. In Los Angeles, she is a central figure in a large dance community where she co-founded Kimbambula Production and created her own Kimbambula Cuban dance and Music Ensemble. Her knowledge of dance and choreography reveals her intricate and versatile style, making her a highly sought-after performer nationally and internationally. A native of Cuba, Kati Hernández grew up surrounded by the sounds of the drum and Afro-Cuban dance traditions that shaped her as an electrifying choreographer, educator, and dancer. He is very honored to be able to share his gift to the world and continue to make history for Sri Lankans around the world. Tapping into music from different parts of the globe has allowed him to incorporate those influences into his expression. He also performed and accompanied the late legendary Jazz and R&B singer Natalie Cole for 5 years, working with some of the major symphonies around the world, including Prague Symphony and San Diego Symphony. He toured around the world with nine-time Grammy winner Arturo Sandoval and played with him for President Obama. He later received a full ride scholarship to attend USC and also served in the Air Force Band stationed in Omaha, Nebraska. He was selected as one of two pianists in a worldwide competition to play in the Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra, consisting of historical concerts with legends like Patti Austin and with Stevie Wonder and John Williams at the first opening week of Disney Hall. In High school, he performed with the Hamilton Symphony and recorded with the Colburn School Chamber Orchestra and Jazz Band, and won various awards and scholarships, including best jazz musician awards for Fullerton Jazz Festivals. He has played many instruments growing up, including saxophone, clarinet, tabla, and sitar, all taught by his father, who is an accomplished musician.
